FedEx P&D Business Model
FedEx Pickup and Delivery (P&D) Independent Service Providers (ISPs) operate
within designated, exclusive Contracted Service Areas (CSAs) and are based at
local FedEx corporate owned terminals.
From these terminals, they manage the
pickup and delivery of packages to and from both business and residential
customers. ISPs independently acquire or lease their own vehicles and are tasked
with the recruitment, training, and management of drivers and staff.
Additionally, they oversee the planning and execution of daily operations.
ISPs
are granted contractually protected exclusive service areas under a formal ISP
Agreement (ISPA) that they enter into with FedEx Express Corporation.
