I started my Amazon FBA store in 2021 with one simple idea in mind. I wanted to sell products that people already know and love, so I would never have to spend a dollar convincing anybody to buy them. That idea has worked out really well for me, and today the store runs pretty much on its own.
The store sells well known home appliances that you'll find in just about every kitchen in America. Some of the products we sell are Keurig coffee makers and pods, air fryers, toaster ovens, manual espresso machines, Nespresso coffee machines, SodaStream machines and carbonated water bottles, blenders, water filters and toasters, among others. Because these are brands people already trust, I have never spent any money on PPC ads or advertising.
Customers search for these products by name and they're ready to buy. The distribution accounts were honestly the hardest part of building this business. It took me a long time to get approved with the distributors that carry these brands, and that's not something a new seller can just walk in and get.
The new owner will inherit all of these distribution accounts along with the pricing we've built up over the years. The store is run by one virtual employee who takes care of the day to day. I also partnered with a warehouse logistics company that handles everything physical.
They receive the products from our distributors, pack them, and send them into Amazon's fulfillment centers. They also keep an eye on inventory levels and reorder before we run out, as long as there's cash available to buy more inventory. So I've never had to see or touch a single product, and the new owner won't either.
To be honest, I don't really spend any time on this business. Between the virtual employee and the warehouse partner, everything gets handled, and it's been well documented so a new owner can step in without any e-commerce experience....
